Barbera d'Alba D.O.C. Castlè

A spacious, sunny vineyard with poor, sandy soil lies behind the winery’s most important offering, produced only in exceptional years. The yield of grapes is limited by the vineyard’s characteristics, and this means only concentrated, rich fruit arrives at the winery. A long, temperature-controlled maceration keeps the grapes’ primary aromas and characteristic vinosity intact. These are refined by a non-intrusive aging in wood, with the length of aging varying depending on the vintage. The resulting red is both fragrant and austere, easy to enjoy and with good longevity, perfect for pairing with white and red meat or fresh cheeses.
